The service

Verse & Light gives you a Bible verse every day and lets you turn verses into images to share. Using the free service needs no account. Plus is an optional paid subscription with more styles and features, described on the home page.

Scripture

Verses come word for word from the King James Version and, where shown, the World English Bible, the Berean Standard Bible and the American Standard Version. These texts are in the public domain or free to use. We check every published verse automatically against the source text.

What you can do with the images

You may share the images you make for personal and church use, including on social media, messages and printed cards. Free images carry a small “verseandlight.com” signature; please leave it in place. You may not resell the images or our designs as a product, or present your own text as Scripture.

Your own text and photos

Text and photos you add stay on your device and are your responsibility. Do not use the service for anything unlawful, hateful or meant to deceive.

Plus, trials and gifts

Payments are processed by Paddle, our reseller (Merchant of Record), whose buyer terms also apply. A trial is free for the stated number of days; if you do not cancel, the plan you chose starts and renews at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account or the link in your receipt, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Gifts are a one-time purchase for the period shown and do not renew. Your legal rights as a consumer, including the right of withdrawal where it applies, are not affected.

Our responsibility

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will show the date above. Portuguese law applies, without taking away the protections of the law where you live.
